Add Search Engines To Your Search Bar: Add To Search Bar

Submit to Foxiewire

Everybody uses search engines nowadays: Google, MSN, Yahoo…you name it, but you always use one. And us, Firefox users, also know how helpful it is to have an integrated bar right into our browser that lets us search in multiple search engines from one single place.

You already know how to add a custom keyword search in Firefox, but what if you wanted to add more engines to that list?

Add to Search Bar is a Firefox add-on that allows you to integrate any website’s search function available into your search bar (top right of your screen).

When you are on a page, you can simply right click on the search box, select Add, and it will be automatically integrated into your Firefox Search Bar.

You can also use this extension to update Google’s new favicon: in fact, you may have noticed that Google’s icon, the one that appears in your address bar, as well as the search bar, has changed grom a capital G, into a better looking lower-case g.

All you need to do to update it is to add Google as a new search engine with Add to Search bar, and delete the old one from the Manage Search Engines menu.
