Some people love to use keyboard shortcuts…other prefer their mouse…but what do you use more? Recently I have published an article about mouseless browsing for those people who hate their mouse, and would do anything just using their keyboard. But what if you are the opposite?

FireGestures is a Firefox extension that you can use to control your browser just using your mouse movements, or “mouse gestures”.

Your mouse can basically do four movements: Up, Down, Right, and Left…And it is by using the initials of the movements that you can set up your scripts.

It’s all up to you and your fantasy that you can create your set of control-movements: for example you could set the “Open new window” function as DRU, which is down>right>up.

So from now on, all you have to do to open a new tab, is to hold the right button, and move your mouse like a “U”.

Every function, from saving an image to closing tabs, from scrolling to the top of the page to opening new windows, can be automatized and assigned to a small mouse movement.

Since this is a great extension, I won’t bother you much more, so you can start setting it up and using it instantly.

I also found out another extension that works pretty much the same as FireGestures, called Mouse Gestures, which has also been video-reviewed on LifeHacker.com
