This insurance company's IT shop has strict requirements for documenting development processes and especially code walk-throughs -- and that's great as long as everyone is on board, says a pilot fish who knows someone who's not.
"This boss had given me misdirection throughout the development and design of the product deliverable," fish grumbles, "then ultimately had skipped the code walk-through. But everyone attending had signed off for migration.
"Next, at the team task/project status meeting, he nearly sandbagged the product delivery by questioning whether the product had received his clearance.
"I had the packet of paperwork from the walk-through meeting, and placed it on the table before me. Then, as I started going through the motions to open it and pull out the sign-off document, I asked if he had been at the walk-through for his product and signed off on it.
