Free Web-Based Videoconferencing Solution: MeBeam

Is there a free, simple way to have video conferences online, with no software to install and that can be accessed by anyone? Actually there are some, and I might also write a mini-guide about it one day, but today I want to present you the best one, which is called MeBeam.

MeBeam comes just a simple website in its look, with a central box and some other buttons, but in reality it is a powerful collaboration tool that allows you to create video chat rooms for up to 16 people.

After you type a name into the box, it will automatically create a video conferencing room for up to 16 people.

You can then invite other people to join the room by giving them the room’s URL: all they’ll need is a web browser, Flash player, a webcam and a microphone.

The service is completely free to use, and can be used without any registration.

Maybe you need to update Flash player to a newer version, or if the black screen is into the conferencing box maybe you just need to select your webcam from Flash>Settings.
